Afghanistan Refugees as the Biggest Refugee Group

I roughly calculated the sum of the refugee numbers by year, based on their origin with the refugee data from UNHCR to assume the importance of refugee groups depending on their origin since 1951. And it was revealed that Afghanistan refugees are overwhelmingly the biggest refugee group. The second one is "Unknown" but it largely contains what is called the Palestine refugees. The third group is from Syria, followed by Iraq, Somalia, Ethiopia, Sudan, and South Sudan.

In 2024, we consider Syrian refugees and Ukraine refugees are the two biggest concerns. However, Afghanistan refugees have been historically very big and important. It is even bigger than Palestine refugees. And these Afghanistan refugees reside in Pakistan and Iran which are often suspected as hubs of terrorists. However, it seems that the Afghanistan refugees in such countries cause the problems rather than their original citizens.

Let's see the major countries which accepted Afghanistan refugees since the Soviet's invasion of Afghanistan in 1978. In this chart, you can easily understand that Iran and Pakistan are the two biggest destinations of Afghanistan refugees since 1978.

Also, there were two dramatical drops in 1991-1992, and in 2002-2003. It indicates that such Afghanistan refugees were sent to fight against Iraq (1991 -: the First Gulf War, 2003-: Iraqi War). In both wars, such Iraqi war veteran Afghanistan refugees went back to/ moved to Pakistan rather than Iran (around 2000 and 2007). In the case of 1999, perhaps, such Afghanistan refugees were reused in the Kashmir conflict (Kargil War).

However, after Taliban regained the power in 2021, seemingly such Afghanistan refugees mostly moved to Iran. And they may have caused the death of Raisi and the political transition from Principlists to Reformists in Iran. Since then, Iran has the largest Afghanistan refugees.

Missing Afghanistan Refugees in 1985

I also found another mysterious incidents. In Saudi, UAE and Syria, thousands of Afghanistan refugees suddenly disappeared in 1985 (or 1986 in Saudi), and then they never came back to the statistics until 1990s.

Interestingly, "Palestine Refugees" started to flow to Saudi and UAE in almost the same year. Perhaps, the Afghanistan refugees in Gulf changed their identity to Palestine refugees around such years.

Iraqi War Veterans after 2007

US started to withdraw from Iraq in 2007. And there were two countries which experienced the leaps of refugees in 2006-2007. They are Pakistan and Syria. In the case of Syria, the new refugees are "Iraq" origin according to the UNHCR data. So, it is likely that the refugees are the Iraqi war veteran or related to the "US withdrawal from Iraq". However, Pakistan's new refugees' (about 2 million people) origins are "Afghanistan". So, assumingly, they came to Pakistan as Afghanistan refugees after 1978. And then, many of them were sent to Iraqi war. Pakistani government still had their personal data unlike Syrian government. So, such refugees were recounted as "Afghanistan refugees", maybe.

Summary

With this context, assumingly, such "Afghanistan refugees" were also sent to to the Iran/Iraq War in 1980s (In this case, Afghanistan refugees in Iran were hired), and the Gulf War in 1990s. Such war veterans mostly came back to Pakistan until recently. And these Afghanistan refugees in Pakistan cooperated with Ghani regime in Afghanistan who killed more than 120k Taliban members in Afghanistan. However, Taliban regained the power in 2021. After that, many of them may have moved to Iran to oust principlist regime. Now, it is likely that such Afghanistan refugees are preparing for the big massacre against the principlists of Iran, or it already happened.

However, I already wrote that the origin of such Afghanistan refugees were the Helmand Valley Development Projects by USAID/ Hoover Dam faction who were purged by Soviet troops in 1978.

And now, Elon Musk in Trump regime is conducting the shutdown, mass layoff and dissolution of USAID. Elon found lots of evidences that USAID educated terrorists and gave them fund. I am not sure for the real purpose of Elon and Trump. But surely, the dissolution of USAID will dramatically reduce the world terrorism.
